Camp Beloved - Workshop Overview

Workshop 1: Christian Home Makeover: Strengthening Faith at Home

Synopsis:

Every one is part of a family and every family has a heritage – a spiritual, emotional and social legacy passed from one generation to the next. The question is what sort of heritage are we leaving our children?

God intended for parents to parent within the context of a faith community. Family discipleship is to live the principles of Deuteronomy 6, with the support of the church in training and encouragement, in their efforts to be intentional in passing on a legacy of Christian faith. In our home makeover, parents can creatively plan to pass their faith on to their children. Grandparents can also be instrumental, partnering working parents in this journey.

This workshop will be conducted by Joshua Liong from Focus on the Family.

Workshop 2: What Makes Work Good?

Synopsis:

What's is a good job? And what can we do to make a job good? The workshop facilitator will be sharing from his ambition as a young job beginner, to anxieties at work as a young parent, and now adjusting to work life as an empty nester - and at each phase asking what are the Biblical principles to make a job good? What are the outcomes that are beyond the daily grind and the KPIs? And how to bring God's joy into our work life.

Workshop 4: Walk Along With Me: Disciple-making Made Easy

Synopsis:

Disciple-making can be as simple as inviting people to walk with me as I walk with Jesus. It need not be a curriculum but instead, it is a relational way of life. We simply come alongside one, two, or three persons and invite them to walk with us as we walk with Jesus. Through it, we draw people into a small circle of relationships for a period of time to learn together how to live out Jesus’ life and mission.

This workshop will be conducted by Christopher and Patricia Lian from Calvary Baptist Church.
