About our Speaker & Panellists :)

Prarthini Selveindran
Prarthi really loves amphibians and reptiles—being particularly passionate about frogs and snakes. She spent most of her life in NUS studying these (and many other) fascinating creatures and bio-systems, which was made all the richer during her service within the Varsity Christian Fellowship, in seeing that earth-keeping is something God is concerned with.

Having cultivated an interest in hermeneutics, she completed a masters in biblical interpretation with the London School of Theology. Prarthi has been serving as a ministry worker with the Fellowship of Evangelical Students (FES) Singapore since 2015, where she is currently a head of ministry.

All while doing this, she also volunteers with A Rocha International and is the co-editor of the book 'God's Gardeners: Creation Care Stories from Singapore and Malaysia', published as part of her work with Friends of A Rocha in Singapore.

Lim Kar Min
Kar Min is a management consultant with a focus on climate and sustainability, specifically on the energy transition and circular economy. She works primarily with energy companies and governments across Southeast Asia to help them develop net zero pathways, assess investments in green technologies such as renewables, hydrogen and electric vehicles, and address complex trade-offs such as balancing profitability & climate goals, or ensuring that households and businesses have reliable access to electricity while phasing out fossil fuel power plants. Kar Min sees these efforts as part of God’s purpose to use business and technology for the flourishing of humanity and creation - an opportunity to participate in God’s restorative work on earth.

Kar Min has been worshiping at CBC since 2019, when she returned home to Singapore from 7 years of studying and working in the US. She currently serves as a Discipleship Group Leader with the Youth Ministry and as Assistant Church Secretary.

Chanel Go & Germaine Lye
Chanel and Germaine are fellow long-time Calvarians, and part of the founding trio behind Our Barehands, a fashion and lifestyle social enterprise that seeks to build strong and sustainable communities through intentional partnerships and empowerment.

Since 2019, they have been working with small-producing communities around the world, ranging from artisan communities in Columbia, India, Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, among others.

By seeking to establish long-term collaborations with artisans who possess unique craftsmanship, Our Barehands hopes to help bridge the market gap between products that are unseen due to their lack of presence in the market, and consumers who would like to purchase their products.

Together they envision a more equitable world for all, one with opportunities and resources shared, no matter the background.
