Faith at Work: How Christians can Participate in Singapore's Work Culture
Date: 26 July 2024 Friday
Time: 7.30pm-9.00pm (Dinner at 7.00pm)
Venue: Calvary Baptist Church Grace 2 Hall
Are you curious about how Christians should engage the marketplace?
Is our mission at work just about evangelizing our cubicle neighbor or not stealing the office stationery?
Should work be a calling, or just... work?
Where does rest come into the picture in our hectic Singaporean work-life?
If you find yourself asking these questions, come by for our panel discussion on Faith at Work: How Christians can Participate in Singapore’s Work Culture! The event aims to broaden our categories regarding our engagement with work and will cover:
the cultural commission of Christians and how that affects work;
4 ways to engage work as a Christian;
a brief primer on vocation & calling;
a brief survey of the Sabbath in Christian thought.
We will also have a panel discussion with our esteemed panellists:
Paul Wong, campus pastor at SMUCF and previously a lawyer at a Magic Circle Firm in London.
Melissa Kwee, Neighbour, Possibilist and Transformation Catalyst
Jason Cheng, formerly an executive at Shell plc and currently with the Kuok Group overseeing Operational Excellence Projects
Do sign up by 22 July 2024 to help with our ordering of food. Thank you and see you!
