Positions available:

Choir Director

  • Positions required: 1

  • Role: To be the co-director of the church choir

  • Requirements: To understand the role of music in worship, be able to interpret choral music scores together with the piano accompanist. To be able to understand vocalizing for dynamics and harmony of voices.

    • Time commitment: Hold choir practices every Friday from 8pm-9.30pm, and conduct choral presentation on 2nd and 4th Sundays each month at 0900 and 1100

Choir Singers:

  • Positions required: 10

  • Role: To participate in the church choir as a singer.

  • Requirements: Must love praising God together with others in music, be regular at practices and sanctuary presentations. Able to read music scores is an advantage but not a requirement

Passion for praising God with other singers

3. What are the time commitments involved?
Practice every Fri 8-9.30 pm
Presentation 2nd & 4th Sun 9 & 11am

4. What kind of skills or experience are necessary?
Ability to read music a plus, not a must
Self practice possible with demo tracks

5. How will I be trained for my role?
On-boarding via Fri practices

6. What kind of support or resources are available for volunteers?
Music scores, demo tracks, presentation folder, choir robes, Telegram chat group

7. Can I volunteer if I'm only available on certain days or times?
Need to plan early to work other commitments round choir schedule. (Some choristers are also serving in CC, as ushers, and attending Fri CG meetings.)
