Care Team Member

  • Positions required: 5

  • Role: To visit and follow up with Calvarians who are identified by Member Care Ministry as "need help" category, being minimally able to pray with the recipients

  • Requirements: Regular weekday visitations mainly to homes or hospitals

All about Member Care

1. What is the mission/vision/goals of this ministry?
Meeting the care of Calvarian who are facing challenges in well-being because of age, sickness, isolation and spiritual need.

2. What are the requirements for volunteering in this ministry? 
No official requirements.

3. What are the time commitments involved?
Preferably 1 hour per session every fortnight to visit our Member Care Recipient.

4. What kind of skills or experience are necessary?
No specific skills required. Having compassion to help others, like to interact, see others’ needs met and rejoice with them can be a positive sign.

5. How will I be trained for my role?
Visitation will be done in pairs, so it will be on the job training.

6. What kind of support or resources are available for volunteers? 
Visitation will be done in pairs so that the team can support each another. We have a community to encourage each other through prayers or sharing of experiences to be relevant. We also share our challenges (non confidential) with other care team members and overcome them together.

7. Can I volunteer if I'm only available on certain days or times? 
Sure you can. We are an inclusive ministry.
