  • Role: To help with event duties such as helping the elderly on wheelchairs, befriending seniors you are engaging with (might be pre-believer).

All about EDO

1. What is the mission/vision/goals of this ministry?
This ministry exists to craft and direct our strategy for seeking and saving the lost.

2. What are the requirements for volunteering in this ministry? 
Committee Member: Previous experience as treasurer or secretary will be helpful.
Befriender: No official requirements.

3. What are the time commitments involved?
Befriender: Preferably 1 hour per session weekly to visit the befriendees.

4. What kind of skills or experience are necessary?
Committee Member: Previous experience as treasurer or secretary will be helpful.
Befriender: No specific skills required.

5. How will I be trained for my role?
Befriender: Online befriending course will be available to give you an overview of what befriending is like. Visitation will be done in pairs, so it will be on-the-job training.

6. What kind of support or resources are available for volunteers? 
Befriender: As we grow, we will form a community to encourage each other through prayers or sharing of experiences to be relevant. Visitation will be done in pairs so that the team can support each other.

7. Can I volunteer if I'm only available on certain days or times? 
Sure you can. We are an inclusive ministry.
